WHAT NATURE MEANS TO ME?

“Nature for me is a constant reminder of the incredible diversity of animals, plants and microorganisms that are found everywhere. I am constantly fascinated by what nature is capable of, e.g. A small budding plant that can break through asphalt or small microscopic parasites that can manipulate and control the behaviour of much larger insects. Although much of my work takes place at the computer or in the laboratory, nature is our starting point where we collect and observe the organisms we use. Of course, I also use nature to find peace and get some much-needed fresh air with my family, whether it is a walk in the woods or on a playground inside the city. ”
